# Jewelry, Tattoo & Hair Policy

**Jewelry**

SAFR Personnel are **not** permitted to wear **ear-rings** on duty

SAFR Personnel are **not** permitted to wear **ear studs** on duty

SAFR Personnel are **not** permitted to wear **facial piercings** on duty

**Tattoos**

SAFR Personnel **are** permitted to have tattoos unless:

* Visible on hands
* Visible above the neck-line

**Hair**

SAFR Personnel must present themselves with neat hair in appearance, members with long hair must have it in a bun or similar hairstyle as not to cause a safety hazard

SAFR Personnel must only have hair of **natural** colouring unless authorized by a member of the Office of the Chief

**Facial Hair**

SAFR Personnel **are** permitted to have facial hair so long as it does not affect the seal of their masks and is kept short, neat and tidy.
